Thanks for your detail explaination Elder Yong, your answers never fail me.
You mentioned about "prayer of Jabez".
From my own experience, I basically would like to categorise Christians into 2 groups:
A. those who uplift the signs and wonders, believe God is only Love, justise is in the old testiment, and definately love to to pray the way like prayer of Jabez.
B. the other group would be those believe God in His sovereignty have the ultimate authorithy. we have to be submissive to Him and His Will, not only we ask for His Love but also accept chastisement if He give it to us. The Lord's prayer would be our model for pray.
It is definately easier for us to accept God is Love, and I believe all of us we would "like" to believe this way. as due to our weakness in flesh.
Now, my question is, in what way do you think is the best to preach to people in category "A" that I mentioned?
my experience is they insist their view is right, then i ended become a cult (hahaha)...
or worst, after learning about "the otherside" of God, they just back out, like sweeping the problems under carpet, fall back to the earthy world. in cases like this how do we encourage them?
Thank you once again.
