Hi, Elder Yong. One of my brother in Christ had sent the discussion session on 'Marriage and divorce with non-believer and believer' to his friend, and his friend feedback on his views. Now, my brother in Christ have some questions regarding his friend's views.

Have tried answer his questions myself. But would like to hear from you your opinion regarding these. Will be quite a long one:

=============================================================

I've already known these facts loh....i read it in >the bible before. So...like what Elder Yong had mentioned....these are part and parcels of life....

If everyone dun make mistakes, then where on this earth the word "mistake" is from? There's no right nor wrong answer. That's something in life that we have to >understand and learn.

God gives us this gift to think, analyse and differentiate...but it is also this gift that leads us to make correct decisions, wrong decisions...mistakes....repent...etc etc....i >believe everything goes in a cycle....only when we die, we meet God that we can reflect and understand. Just follow what God has in his plans for you.

This is what i had answer to my brother in Christ:

What your friend mentioned is right, yes, God gives us the ability to think, analysis. But we must be affirm that God is the Way, the Truth and the Life. And we must know that God is perfect, i.e. from Him, there could be no mistakes or errors made.

Now we go to the definition of 'mistake'. How do we human define mistake? Are the mistake we thought it is a mistake in God's view? This is what we must be mindful of. Sometimes, we thought that we had made a mistake, e.g being friends and shaking hands with one that had done us wrong before. This may be a mistake in world's view, but it is not so in God's eyes as He teaches us to be forgiving. Sometimes, it may be the environment or peer influence that make us have the thought and eventually it become a mistake in itself.. Hence, it is very important to stay close to God's word (Bible) everyday so that we will have the right guidance to the Truth as God Himself is the Truth.

Our life start from now, we are being mould by God each day, making less and less mistakes (in God's view).

True, human cannot be perfect till we meet Him, but it should not be an excuse to shrink responsibility in the sense that we says: "This is life, we'll make mistake and we'll learn. But the problem is: How often do we repeat the same mistake? Is it over and over again? If it is, then ask ourself, are we truly repenting?

True repent comes with action that one will do his/her best not to do the same thing again, with God's guidance and strength, endurance, resistance to temptation.

* Next is that we should ask ourselves: How close are we to God? Are we sensitive enough to know when do we disobey God's teachings and when we are not? Of course, if one belongs to the latter case, it would be good.

While it is true that one is not perfect and can make mistakes, we must know the fact that God does not. Human, due to the sinful nature, will tend to drift away from the Holiness and Truth life that God want us to live.. Hence, it is a reminder to us that we are being mould by God each day and we'll learn from mistakes and not repeat the same again. esp, if the mistake is serious one, like adultary, aggressiveness, thoughts, irresponsiblility etc..

If the mistake is doing work, way of handling things, then it is a learning process that one should seek God's wisdom in knowing how to handle trickly situation. The Bible teaches us to be in Matthew 10: 16 that we be wise as serpents, yet harmless as doves. Of course, if the thing we've done in work is not righteous, then repentence is a must. Else if it is only the way and how we handle things (with the right motive and intention), it is a 'learning to be better process'..

Christians are no different from others, in the sense that we do make mistakes and are sinful in nature, but one thing for sure, we are forgiven and saved through Jesus, and through Jesus's victory over the world, we can, through the Holy Spirit guidance, live a life with 'lesser and lesser sins' i called it "sanctified process" We are partaking in God's holiness. :)
