Yes, thanks for your view, Elder Yong. It is indeed a culture to do this cheering thing. No harm in partaking in it if it is not cheering for things that is not in accordance with Biblical teachings. And i do not see the need to elaborate and extend our breath to say the 'Yam Seng' thing coz some believe that by extending as long as possible, will bring upon good fortune or something like that.
Yup, culture and faith are areas we need to know and as much as possible read up on so that we will know when situation arises how to stand in firm our faith and differentiate between Biblical teachings or just, like what you said, irrelevant issues. Thanks again. :)
